Eldig develops efficient systems for the automatic detection of production, to monitor the productivity of machines and manage lots, using graphic software and production reports.

Description

Eldig software programs are able to automatically detect all the production steps, monitor their efficiency, manage the lots, draw up production reports; all these applications may prove useful to optimise the production lines, identify the malfunctioning points and remedy them, manage the planning and storage. The main fields of application are listed below:

Architecture of the production data detection system

The electrical, electronic and mechanical signals are identified on the operating machines, which the latter make available to communicate the production data.
If these are insufficient, suitable sensors are applied in a non invasive manner, without disturbing the machine operation. One of our Controllers will be installed on each machine, to which the sensors will be connected. The various Controllers will be connected to one another in an RS485 network and then to a supervising Personal Computer. In those systems where data from more departments needs to be detected, we usually install one Personal Computer per department, connected to the others via a LAN. Therefore the local network will be fitted with a server to save all the collected data. Thus there will be one or more data management stations with our production detection software, for the related control and analysis.

Specifically, below are the main characteristics of the four application environments:

Continuous data detection onboard the machine
Our production detection software directly extracts the following signals on the production machines or systems, in real time and continuously, 24 hours a days:

  • run/stop, to determine the use of the systems 
  • metric development, part counting, weight counting, to determine the real quantity produced
  • machine load start/end
  • batch change with determination of the stop times due to the retooling of the systems
  • operational stop causes, to determine the incidence of the related time on the production cycle, separated into:
    • automatic causes, if the operating machine provides them directly
    • manual causes, typed directly by the operator

Data is automatically extracted in the production detection software by a microprocessor Controller, installed onboard the machine. The Controller continuously extracts and saves the data of the operating machine, communicating it to the supervisor Personal Computer when the latter queries it.

On the station of the department head or with maxi-screens visible in the department, the production detection software displays:

  • colour linear diagram by day, shift, etc. with indication of run (in or out of standard), stop, loads, etc.
  • department synoptic with colour representation of:
    • machine in motion (and instantaneous development)
    • machine unloading (machine loading)
    • machine stopped


Management of production lots/lbatches
The Eldig software can manage:

  • Lot details, with the entry/change of the characteristic data of the production batch
  • Lot loading on the machines
  • Lot changes, to confirm the signals set on the machines and vary the processing at the correct moment.
  • Production progress with balance date calculation. The balance moment of the lot being processed is calculated on the basis of the amount produced, the average performance checked, the standard production expected.

Reporting
The production detection software issues analytical reports for easy and immediate consultation such as, for example:

  • Weekly, monthly or other timeframe reports, with machine, production, system use yields.
